Julie: …so once we’ve pulled up the required vehicles we can actually see all our investor vehicles and we would put those as a priority and obviously make sure that they’d get the booking over and above other vehicles.
Sam: Ok, so how do I find out when I’ve got a booking? Do you contact me?
Julie: Yes sure, we would send a text and an email to say here’s the booking, here are the dates and just wait for you obviously to come back and confirm that the vehicle is free and available. Once that’s all been organised we will send you a booking reservation confirmation (and) send a confirmation out to the hirer, about four weeks before (pick-up)to confirm the vehicle, the collection details, who they contact, where they go and pick the vehicle up, that kind of thing.
Sam: Then when do I get paid?
Julie: What happens is once the vehicle’s gone out on hire you’ll receive your payment on the Friday after it’s gone out. So if it’s gone out on the Wednesday you’ll get the payment directly into the bank on the following Friday.
Sam: And can I rent it out privately to my friends and family or do I always go through you?
Julie: Obviously you can do your own private rent. We positively encourage you to build the business, you know, to create a little business and create more hires for yourself and we can deal with the motorhome hire insurance if you want us to.
Sam: So you can do the motorhome hire insurance even on my private lets?
Julie: Absolutely.
Sam: Oh that’s great.
Julie: Yes.
Sam: Ok, well thanks very much Julie, that’s been really, really helpful.
Julie: Ok, nice to meet you Sam.
Sam: Thank you.

Sam: Well Andrew , what’s great … what I’ve learned today and I never thought I’d say this, but I could actually afford my own brand new motor home.
Andrew: That’s right Sam.
Sam: But there’s a lot more to it than you have in your guide.
Andrew: Well, there is a lot more to it, but not from your point of view, all you need to think about is whether or not you want to buy a motor home. Don’t forget that we provide all the other services, including the marketing, administration, motorhome hire insurance, customer services and we’ve done all the hard work of choosing the right motor home for you anyway because realistically there’s only three models to choose from.
Sam: Ok. So whether I buy from you or somewhere else it’s a great idea to rent out my motor home when I’m not using it?
Andrew: Absolutely, I think if you remember to buy with your head and not just your heart you won’t go far wrong.
